Role in the system

Nitrifying bacteria are the living heart of your aquaponic system: they convert the toxic ammonia produced by fish into nitrites, then into nitrates that plants can absorb. Their activity can decline in winter, after a filter clean, treatment or major water change. Bactogen re-seeds and strengthens the biofilter bacterial colonies, maintaining an efficient nitrogen cycle even under challenging conditions.

How to use

Shake well before each use. Pour the recommended dose directly into the biological filter or tank. Use at system startup, after a water change of more than 30%, after a filter clean, or as monthly maintenance to keep filtration optimal. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
