When aphids or other pests invade, black soap is your natural first-line solution. Made from quality black soap, this ready-to-use product works by destabilising the cell membranes of soft-bodied insects, eliminating them quickly and effectively without harm to your plants. Suitable for organic farming.
Product details
- 1 L ready-to-use bottle
- Made from quality black soap
- Contact action: cell membrane destabilisation
- Suitable for organic farming
Target pests & mode of action
Black soap works on contact by dissolving the waxy protective layer (cuticle) covering the bodies of soft-bodied insects. Stripped of this protection, parasites dehydrate and die quickly. This mode of action is particularly effective against aphids, scale insects and whiteflies. Black soap also cleans the honeydew deposited by aphids on leaves, which can promote the development of sooty mould (black mould).
Benefits
- Immediate effectiveness: rapid contact action on aphids and other soft-bodied parasites
- Cleans honeydew: removes sugary secretions that attract sooty mould
- Gentle on plants: does not burn foliage, unlike some chemical pesticides
- Organic farming: made from natural black soap, suitable for organic growing
- Ready to use: no dilution needed, direct application
How to use
Spray directly on infested areas, covering both sides of leaves thoroughly. Apply in early morning or late afternoon for maximum effectiveness. Repeat every 3 to 5 days until parasites disappear. For vertical growing towers, move the towers outside the greenhouse during treatment to avoid any impact on the aquaponic tank.
Tip: combined with nettle extract or garlic decoction, black soap provides enhanced protection against persistent infestations.
