The pH = 7 buffer solution is an essential reference liquid for calibrating your probe or pH meter. Without regular calibration, pH readings gradually drift, which can lead to inappropriate corrections and unbalance your entire aquaponic or bioponic system.
Product details
- Bottle of calibration solution
- Reference pH: 7.00 (neutral point)
- Use: probe and pH meter calibration
- Ready-to-use solution
Role in the system
Accurate pH measurement is the foundation of good closed-loop system management. pH probes naturally drift over time, with use and temperature changes. A drift of just 0.5 pH points can block nutrient uptake or stress your fish. Regularly calibrating your probe with a pH 7 buffer solution ensures reliable readings and accurate corrections.
Benefits
- Guaranteed precision: pH 7.00 reference for reliable calibration
- Ready to use: no dilution required
- Essential: without regular calibration, all pH corrections are unreliable
- Universal: compatible with all probes and pH meters on the market
- Cost-effective: one bottle covers many calibrations
How to use
Pour a small amount of solution into a clean container. Immerse the probe and follow your device's calibration procedure. Never dip the probe directly into the bottle to avoid contamination. Calibrate at least once a month, or after replacing the probe. Store the bottle sealed, away from light and heat.
Our quality commitments
High-precision reference solution. Compatible with all pH probes on the market and all Myfood systems (City and Family).
To recalibrate, you have to follow these steps (Sondes et capteurs (myfood.eu)) and you need to have this solution.
