Role in the system

In both aquaponics and bioponics, calcium is a macro-element often in deficit. Supplementation prevents deficiency symptoms: leaf tip necrosis, blossom end rot on tomatoes and peppers, and stunted growth. It also helps stabilise water hardness (GH).
