Replacement Filter Pack – PRO Reverse Osmosis System

This pack contains all the replacement filters for your Myfood PRO reverse osmosis system (1,000 L/day). Over time, the filtration stages gradually lose efficiency – the pre-filter clogs with sediment, the activated carbon saturates and the RO membrane becomes less permeable. This complete replacement pack restores full purification performance and ensures your system continues to produce pure, contaminant-free water for your tanks and crops.

• 1 × particle pre-filter (recommended replacement: every 3 to 6 months)
• 1 × activated carbon filter (recommended replacement: every 9 months)
• 1 × RO reverse osmosis membrane (recommended replacement: every 2 years)
• Compatible with the Myfood PRO reverse osmosis system (1,000 L/day)

Role in the system

Each filtration stage plays a specific role. The particle pre-filter captures sediment, sand and large impurities before they reach the membrane. The activated carbon filter removes chlorine, chloramines and volatile organic compounds that would damage the RO membrane. The reverse osmosis membrane itself performs the final purification, removing up to 95% of dissolved salts, heavy metals, nitrates and pesticides. Together, they produce demineralised water that stabilises your tank pH and hardness (KH/GH) – the equivalent of rainwater quality.

When to replace?

Replace the filters when you notice a drop in purified water output, a change in water taste or odour, or when the recommended replacement intervals have been reached. A clogged pre-filter forces the membrane to work harder and shortens its lifespan. When in doubt, respect the recommended schedule: pre-filter every 3-6 months, activated carbon every 9 months, RO membrane every 2 years.

How to replace

Shut off the water supply and depressurise the system before opening the filter housings. Replace each filter in its dedicated housing, following the flow direction indicated on the casing. After replacement, flush the system for 10 minutes before reconnecting to your tanks. Note the replacement date for future reference.
