This replacement pH probe is designed for the connected sensor unit of your Myfood greenhouse. It continuously measures the acidity of the tank water – the most critical parameter for nutrient uptake by plants, nitrifying bacteria efficiency and fish welfare. Equipped with an Atlas Scientific sensor, it delivers precise, reliable readings transmitted in real time to your myfoodhub dashboard.

Product details

  • Submersible pH probe
  • Atlas Scientific sensor for precise measurement
  • Direct connection to the Myfood sensor unit via terminal block
  • Continuous measurement transmitted to the myfoodhub dashboard
  • Average lifespan: 12 to 18 months in continuous use
  • Compatible with City and Family greenhouses

Role in the system

pH is the single most important parameter in your greenhouse. It governs nutrient availability for your plants – even with all supplements present, nutrients become locked out above pH 7.5. It also directly affects nitrifying bacteria efficiency and fish welfare. A drift of just 0.5 pH points can cause deficiency symptoms, slow the nitrogen cycle or stress your fish. Continuous, accurate pH monitoring allows you to detect shifts early and correct them before they impact your ecosystem.

Benefits

  • Continuous monitoring: real-time pH data on your myfoodhub dashboard, accessible from anywhere
  • Atlas Scientific precision: professional-grade sensor for reliable, accurate readings
  • Smart alerts: receive notifications when pH drifts outside the optimal range (6.0–7.0)
  • Simple installation: direct plug-in to the sensor unit terminal block, no technical skills required
  • Essential diagnostic tool: helps you determine when to add pH Down, potassium bicarbonate or perform a water change

When to replace?

Replace the probe when pH readings become unstable, inconsistent or clearly inaccurate despite cleaning and calibration with pH 7 buffer solution. A pH probe has an average lifespan of 12 to 18 months in continuous use. Over time, the glass membrane degrades due to prolonged submersion and mineral deposits, causing slower response and reduced accuracy. If calibration no longer stabilises the readings, it is time to replace.

Maintenance tips

Clean the probe regularly with the dedicated cleaning kit to extend its lifespan and maintain accuracy. Calibrate with pH 7 buffer solution after each cleaning and at least once a month. Store the probe in storage solution (not distilled water) when removing it from the system for extended periods. Never let the glass tip dry out.

Our quality commitments

Professional Atlas Scientific sensor selected for its precision and durability in closed-loop growing systems. Compatible with all Myfood greenhouses (City and Family).
