Protect your crops naturally. Placed along the edge of your greenhouse, in open ground or in your permaculture beds, the terracotta slug trap attracts slugs and snails with the smell of beer — luring them away from your young plants and catching them, without any pesticide. Handmade in Alsace, it's the natural companion to your crops.

Product details

  • Attracts slugs and snails with the smell of beer within a radius of about 4 m
  • Lid that keeps the beer fresh for up to 5 days and prevents it from being diluted by rain
  • Wildlife-friendly: designed to stop hedgehogs from drinking the beer or reaching the slugs and snails
  • Beer not included

Benefits

  • A safe, natural alternative to pesticides
  • Keeps the slug and snail population in check by drawing them away from your growing areas
  • Durable, plastic-free and far more attractive than a plastic trap

Compatibility

  • Myfood greenhouse
  • Permaculture beds
  • Traditional vegetable gardens

How to use

Place it outside your greenhouse, in open ground or along the edge of a permaculture bed. Bury the base of the trap by 4 cm. Fill it with beer up to the notch, close the lid and let the trap do its work. Renew the beer every 5 days. The trap is most useful during risk periods, in damp, rainy weather; it is less needed in summer.

The glaze can be damaged by frost, so keep it in a dry, frost-free place.
