Recommendations: 1 worm composter for 1 M-sized permaculture bed

How to use

Bury it up to the neck, then add your peelings and kitchen waste. Cover regularly with a handful of sawdust to prevent odours and help the composting process.

Optionally, you can add earthworms to speed up the breakdown of the waste. Otherwise, the micro-organisms already present in your permaculture beds will do the job. Plant roots grow right into the composter and benefit from the nutrients of this in-situ compost.

You can also add: coffee grounds, tea and crushed eggshells.
